WELCOME!

Welcome to Rocky Top! We look forward to spending time with you throughout the Tennessee Dance Intensive. During this experience, you will spend time with different members of the current team, interact with the coaching staff, and see firsthand the skill set required for the recruitment process. The hope is for you to walk away having a real-life awareness of what it is like to be a member of the Tennessee Dance Team. Enjoy the weekend and Go Vols!

Continue studio training

Prioritize the Tennessee Dance Intensive

Prepare Common Recruiting Video and review Tennessee Requirements. Submit by Sept. 1.

Complete application to Tennessee Admissions (Early Action: November 1, 2025)

Talk to studio / high school coaches about potential invite weekend

Clear communication with Tennessee Recruiting Coordinator (VolDanceRecruiting@utk.edu)

JUNIORS

Continue studio training

Attend on campus clinics at Tennessee

Attend combines IF still narrowing down programs and exploring options

Prioritize school grades and taking ACT/SAT

Stay on top of communication with coaching staff (VolDanceRecruiting@utk.edu) / current team

Familiarize yourself with the Common Recruiting Video

SOPHOMORES

Continue studio training

Attend on campus summer intensives and clinics

Attend combines to explore different programs if still researching and gain exposure

Research your universities outside of dance team (admissions, majors, opportunities, etc)

Begin to narrow down your top programs to 3 - 5 teams

FRESHMAN

Continue studio training

Attend combines to learn about different programs and gain exposure
